Year 8 Careers Workshop

Last Tuesday Year 8 students participated in a workshop with Tyson Day from Arrive and Thrive. Students were asked to reflect on the things they are grateful for, the things they are good at and the things that they feel passionate about. Tyson highlighted the importance of purpose, and students participated in some activities as they considered what a career journey is and how to make the most of every opportunity to ROAR into a bright future.

Can you help us with vocational work placements?

Our VCE-VM students complete one day per week of structured workplace learning. This involves working with an employer on either a Wednesday or Thursday to learn more about the trades they are studying at school. Students do not need to be paid for their time, however employers are expected to provide meaningful on-the-job learning experiences. We are currently seeking positions in the Plumbing and Automotive industries. Please reach out to Liz Brown if you can help out – Elizabeth.Brown@nhs.vic.edu.au
