Each person is created by God and are all connected to each other as part of the human Family. We have a responsibility to care for the wellbeing of all people by loving our neighbour.

First Communion Retreat Day

On Friday the 31st of May, Year 3 were joined by others in our Parish who had been preparing to make their First Holy Communion for a Retreat Day. They spent some time reflecting on how they can be a light for others in their family, school, community and the world. Students then performed an act of service by washing each others hands just as Jesus did on Holy Thursday during the Last Supper.

Thank you to the parents and grandparents who helped to cook and serve the BBQ lunch or joined us for this special occasion.

He got up from the table and washed the feet of the Disciples. He did this to teach them to serve one another and to care for one another.

Sacrament of First Holy Communion

On Sunday the 2nd of June, 24 students from St Xaviers received Holy Communion for the first time. It was a very special celebration and congratulations to those students on making their First Holy Communion. Thank you to all of those who contributed in making this celebration so memorable.

Luke 22:13-20

They set off and found everything as he told them, and prepared the Passover. When the hour came he took his place at the table, and the apostles with him. Then taking a cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and share it among you”. Then he took some bread, and when he had given thanks, broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which will be given for you; do this in memory of me”. He did the same with the cup after supper, and said, “This cup is the covenant of my blood which will be poured out for you”.
