MATHEMATICS

Our Year 7 students have recently put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test with a hands-on Nets Assessment. In this in-class assignment, students designed and created a ‘net’ a two-dimensional plan that folds into a three-dimensional shape of their choice.

Once their nets were complete, students calculated the perimeter, area, and volume of the different shapes that made up their design. This task not only reinforced their understanding of measurement and geometry but also gave them the chance to apply these skills in a practical, engaging way. Well done to all our budding designers and mathematicians!

Below are some of the examples of students’ work.
