🤩International Day of Play!🥳
What a fantastic day we had celebrating International Day of Play! On our Ulverstone campus, students brought vibrant energy to the playground, proudly wearing LEGO colours in honour of our Brixhibition voting. A huge shout-out to our incredible Primary Student Leaders who organised and led a variety of fun-filled activities during recess and lunch, including dodgeball, gymnastics and capture the flag. Their enthusiasm and leadership made the day truly special.
On our Burnie campus, students enthusiastically engaged in Silly Hair, Popcorn Party, extended Worship Wednesday and all sorts of whole school activities, while staff rocked the Silly Sock Parade. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, teamwork, and laughter across both campuses—what a great way to celebrate the joy of play!
🍂Tasmanian Arboretum🍂
Ulverstone Prep and Kinder classes had a wonderful excursion to the Tasmanian Arboretum!
They explored the beauty of God’s creation, played in the autumn leaves, and enjoyed hands on activities thanks to our amazing volunteers. The Devonport Garden Club showed students how to pot succulents, while Arboretum volunteers led a guided walk, helped plant a tree, and shared fascinating bird facts.
Student highlights? Riding the bus, spotting two platypuses, seeing a monkey puzzle tree, throwing leaves, and of course eating lunch!
A big thank you to all the volunteers who made this day so special!
ENROLMENTS FOR 2026 ARE OPEN!
We encourage our current families with siblings for next year, or beyond, to please lodge an 'Enrolment Enquiry Form' via our website https://www.leighland.tas.edu.au/enquiries as soon as possible to secure your child’s spot, and to assist our Principals in determining vacancies. Once you have submitted your form, we will send you a link to our application form from our new online enrolment system (Funnel). Please note: siblings are not automatically enrolled; completion of the enrolment application & provision of supporting documentation is required for all students.
If you are aware of a new family who are considering enrolment for their child/ren, please encourage them to complete our Enrolment Enquiry Form. We would welcome the opportunity to provide them with our information pack, and organise a tour of our facilities.
