PULSE’ – SURVEY RESULTS
THE HEART OF BHCS PARENT COMMUNITY
From the moment you pass through the gates of BHCS, one thing that immediately stands out is its vibrant and welcoming grassroots community.
Parents ready to catch up over a cuppa, mums’ dinners, dads’ dinners, messenger chats with people more than willing to stay with your kiddo because you’re stuck in traffic.
The parents of BHCS are truly first rate.
The vision of Pulse is to strengthen and support this existing community for the good of students, parents and staff alike. Over the schools 40 plus years, things have changed a little, and this necessitates that as a parent association, we need to change and pivot too.
We want to thank those of you who took the time to respond to our survey regarding what you want and need from Pulse.
As with any community survey there was a wide array of responses and opinions and some wonderful suggestions. Unfortunately, some suggestions are outside of our purview but we are listening….
You told us you would like to see Praise and Worship nights and opportunities for prayer to continue…
As such we will endeavour to keep these going. We appreciate that not everyone can make every time slot so if you have a heart to pray with parents for the school but can’t make the current alternate Wednesday mornings, then send us an email and we will see if we can link parents across the school.
You told us you would like to see Pulse more involved in the community care space…
We wholeheartedly agree, so we are looking to find new ways to provide community care to the school community (inward facing) and to the wider community (outward facing), perhaps partnering with a local charity.
Unfortunately, we can no longer do the Community Care Cook-ups so if you have an innovative idea of how to support families in our school community or you would like to be involved, please reach out via email. Also, if you know of a local charity that aligns with the school’s values, that we could partner with, we would love to hear from you.
You told us you would like to see more whole family events, parent events, seminars and you have made some suggestions regarding communications…
The cogs are turning and plans are afoot, so watch this space!
