AROUND THE SCHOOL (1 & 2)

YEAR 9 MOCK INTERVIEWS

By Pathways Team

Last Friday our Year 9 students arrived at school smartly dressed in preparation for their Mock Interviews which were held in the school’s restaurant.

As part of the Year 9 Program, students spend two weeks preparing for this event by learning about how to prepare a pitch about themselves as well as producing a resume and cover letter for a casual job. Those who took part were able to show our mock interviewers their great communication and awesome handshake skills, and they now have confidence to apply for real jobs in the future.

A big shout out to our school community members: Andrea, Antoinette, Caroline, Erin, Mark, Mary and Rowan as well as the following members of staff:  Mr Seskis, Mrs Little, Mrs Dema, Mrs Niewand, and Mr Campbell, who were our fabulous Mock Interviewers.

THANK YOU!

MUMS & KIDS - PAINT A POT

By Natalie Flanagan (Community Engagement)

Our Mums & Kids Paint a Pot evening last Friday was a wonderful success, booking out within just three hours.

Around 120 community members joined us with families from students from 3-year-old kinder to Year 11 represented, along with mums, aunties, grandmas, nannas, and even one grandad.

The Gym was filled with laughter, chatter, and the joyful buzz of creativity as everyone painted their own hanging pot, and the results were wonderful! The variety in everyone’s designs showed beautiful creativity. It was such a pleasure to watch families connect, relax, and enjoy a light supper together while making memories.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the staff who volunteered their night to help make the event run smoothly. We look forward to more opportunities to connect and create as a community later on in the year.
