District Cross Country

On Friday 16th May we had 42 students represent Scoresby PS at District Cross Country. I would like to congratulate all students for their amazing efforts and how proudly they represented our school. Everyone gave their all and pushed themselves to do their best. We had 11 students qualify for Division Cross Country and we finished second in our District, which is a fantastic effort!

Girls' Footy Day

On Thursday 22nd May, I had the pleasure of taking 11 eager girls to take part in the AFL Girls' Gala Day. Despite most of the team never playing football before, we did an amazing job on the day and our skills and teamwork improved with each game we played. We finished the round robin part of the day in 8th place for the B Division.

We then took on Boronia Heights in the quarter finals, who had finished in 2nd place. Our skill improvement was evident as we reversed the results from earlier in the day for a spot in the semi final. We faced Waverley Christian College in the semi and it was a close first half, with only a point the difference at half-time. Unfortunately, they were too strong in the second half, defeating us by a goal. We headed into the play-off between 3rd and 4th and, despite being tired after 7 games of football, the girls did an amazing job defeating Park Ridge to finish in 3rd place for the B Division.  Thankyou to the parents who helped with transport on the day and those who came to support the team.

Division Cross Country

We had 6 students represent Scoresby PS on Wednesday at Division Cross Country. This event is always a big step up from District level, and I congratulate the students who made it this far. Thank you to the parents for transporting their students on the day.
