Communication Strategy

Effective communication between home and school is vital to supporting our students’ success. Our St Andrew's Communication Strategy is designed to help all parents and carers:
- Stay informed about school events, updates, and learning;
- Feel connected to the day-to-day life of St Andrew’s;
- Know where and how to access important information;
- Understand who to contact with questions or concerns;
- Engage meaningfully in their child’s learning journey.
Please be familiar with each of the communication platforms below and how the school best uses these to communicate with you.

Parent WhatsApp Groups
Parent WhatsApp groups in schools are informal, parent-led spaces that serve several key purposes:
- Quick Updates: Sharing reminders about events and school activities
- Peer Support: Helping each other stay informed and navigate school routines.
- Community Building: Fostering connections among parents through shared experiences.
These groups operate independently of the school and are most effective when focused on relevant information and respectful communication.
Communication Responsibility
Effective communication is vital to fostering a positive and supportive school environment—and it’s a two-way street. We encourage open, respectful dialogue between families and staff to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
If you have any concerns, please speak with the classroom teacher as your first point of contact.
Our staff email list, including roles, is available to help you connect with the appropriate team member for further assistance. If you are not receiving communication as expected, please contact our office staff for support.
