Sunday's Gospel - John 16: 12-15

In John 16:12–15, Jesus tells His disciples that there is still much He wants to share with them, but they’re not ready to understand it all yet. He promises that the Holy Spirit will come to help guide them and lead them into truth. The Holy Spirit will share God's messages and help the disciples to understand more about Jesus. This reminds us that even when we don’t have all the answers, God continues to guide and teach us through the Holy Spirit.

  • I wonder how you will make space in your life to listen to the message from the Holy Spirit

  • I wonder if there are times when you, like the disciples, are not quite ready to hear or understand something God wants to show us

  • I wonder how to help your children grow in faith and become open to the quiet voice of God

  • I wonder what it means to trust that God continues to guide us, even when life feels uncertain or unclear

  • I wonder how I will recognise the truth of God in my everyday choices, relationships and decisions

Our Students' Prayers - Psalms

It is always beautiful to read the way that the Holy Spirit works through our students and touches their hearts and minds. Our students in the Junior school have learnt about King David and shared Psalms of praise and hope with each other. They have written prayers and psalms of their own, showing the depth of their learning and meaningful ways that they can express hope in our world.

St Vincent de Paul - Winter appeal

A heartfelt thank you to the families who have already donated non-perishable items to our classroom collections. Your generosity is truly appreciated!

Inspiring our students to be Socially Just citizens is very important at St John's. We’d love to see our donation baskets overflowing as we continue to support the incredible work of St Vincent de Paul. Each year, their dedicated volunteers assist countless individuals doing it tough—especially during these cold winter months.

Sadly, the number of vulnerable people in Melbourne is growing. This initiative is a meaningful way for our school community to reach out and make a real difference in the lives of others.

Please take a moment to watch this short video that highlights just how powerful it can be to connect with and support those in need. Vinnies Winter Appeal 2025 - View
