A week in 1/2G

In 1/2G we begin each day gently. After we unpack our bags and change our home readers, we can join in with our friends.

We work together as a learning community to earn Lucky ducks in the jar. Every time we show a school value, we can pick a duck to place in the jar. When it is full, we can vote on a reward. So far, we have enjoyed a pyjama day. I wonder what we will vote for next time?

Sometimes during reading, we work by ourselves, in groups or partners. It’s always a highlight of the day to enjoy reading a book!

When it is maths time, we get to use our problem solving skills. This week we looked at measuring mass.

Throughout the year we have participated in many activities promoting TEAM work.

At the end of the day, we pack our bags and reflect on the great day we have had.

In writing, we enjoy sharing our efforts. This term we have looked at narrative writing. We have written our own imaginative stories that are putting in our portfolios so that we can share them at home.
