Anyone/everyone is welcome to attend.

As part of the meeting the Club will elect the new Committee for the 2025/26 season including the Executive roles.

Cross Country

Cross Country

Our final week of training in preparation for the ISA Cross Country Championship concludes this week, as we look ahead to the competition on Wednesday, 28 May. Students attending the event are reminded to bring their own water bottle and food, and to maintain a healthy, balanced diet in the lead-up to race day.

All competitors are required to wear the full school tracksuit and a St Pius X Athletics or Cross-Country singlet while competing. Singlets are available for purchase at the uniform shop or can be hired from Ms Lee. Please ensure you are prepared for all weather conditions - bring a hat and sunscreen for warm weather, and a coat and umbrella in case of rain.

We extend our best wishes to all our runners for a successful and enjoyable event.

All cross country-related communication will be delivered via Clipboard. Parents and students are asked to ensure notifications are enabled on both the Clipboard app and their devices to stay up to date with any updates.

Sydney10 Fun Run

On the breezy morning of Sunday, 18 May, blessed with ideal conditions for running, 9 students from Pius, accompanied by their two coaches, proudly participated in the Sydney 10 – 5km Fun Run. With over 2,300 participants in attendance, the event was vibrant and full of enthusiasm. Congratulations to all who represented our school - your commendable efforts and excellent results are a testament to your dedication and perseverance.

Football

We were fortunate to get out and play on the weekend and hopefully the weather holds again for this weekend. All games are at Oxford Falls.

Congratulations to Jasper Lindsell, Jaydon Akouri, Danny Kissane and Sam Doherty for being selected in the ISA 1st XI representative side to compete in the NSWCIS Championships next week.  This is an impressive achievement.

Good luck to all teams playing this weekend.

Rugby

It was a fantastic day for rugby at St Gregory’s over the weekend, with perfect weather setting the stage for some impressive performances across the board. Under clear skies and mild temperatures, some of our teams rose to the occasion and delivered a great performance.

The 1st XV led the way with a strong 48–22 win, backed up by the 2nd XV who claimed a solid 24–10 victory. The 14As held on in a thriller to win 12–10 at the death.

Squash

Great participation this week with all students showing up to games early and battling it out against tough competition. Over the next few weeks, we will be focusing on serving techniques at training.  Thank you to all that have been showing up to training and working on improving their skills.

Mr Paul Formosa - Squash Convenor

ISA Tennis

We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather last week as much as we did. It was wonderful to see our students show great sportsmanship both on and off the court, which made the games even more fun to watch!

I want to give a special shoutout to our strong Division 10, who were the only division to win a game last weekend.

As Jake Swan and Mac Hillsdon suggested, we will have a weekly ‘King of the Court’ during our home games. This week’s ‘King’ was Caleb Heng, who played an exciting and very close match, earning the only singles win for Division 1!

Here’s what’s coming up this week:

• Divisions 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 – at home against Oakhill and St Andrew’s

• Division 6, 8, 10 – at Oxley College, Burradoo

• Division 4 – has a week off (BYE)

A friendly reminder to please email me before 8:00 am on Friday if your son can’t play on Saturday. Players can only be reserves twice during the season.

Ms Veronica Bamber - ISA Tennis Convenor
