Director of Student Wellbeing
Mr William Geeves
Welcome to the 2026 academic year. We hope the holiday period provided time for rest and renewal and that your son has returned with enthusiasm for the year ahead.
A special welcome to the families who are new to our College community. Thank you for placing your trust in us to partner with you in the development of your son during these important years. We are committed to nurturing each young man academically, socially and emotionally and we look forward to working together to support him in achieving his very best in all aspects of College life.
Support for Your Son
At the College, we take great pride in the strength of our Pastoral Care program and the comprehensive levels of support available to each young man in our community. We recognise that wellbeing underpins academic success and personal growth. When boys feel safe, known and supported, they are far more likely to engage positively, build strong relationships and pursue excellence in all aspects of College life.
The Pastoral Care teacher is the first and most important point of contact for families. Each student belongs to a Pastoral Care group led by a teacher who develops a strong understanding of your son’s academic progress, social development and overall wellbeing. These relationships are central to ensuring that every boy is known as an individual and supported in a consistent and meaningful way.
Our Pastoral Care program provides structured opportunities for goal setting, reflection, character formation and the establishment of positive routines that set students up for success. In addition, Pastoral Care teachers work closely with Heads of House and members of our Welfare team to ensure that concerns are identified early and appropriate support is provided.
Should you have any questions, concerns or feel that your son may require additional support at any stage, please contact his Pastoral Care teacher in the first instance. They will either work directly with you and your son or connect you with the appropriate staff members to ensure the right support is in place.
New Beginnings Program
It has been wonderful to see our Year 7 students engage so positively in the New Beginnings Program as they commence their Secondary journey. The program provides a carefully structured transition experience, incorporating the Get-it-Right learning program, Spiritual and Relational Journeys, the Eddie Journey, and the Outdoor Educational Camp.
Across these experiences, students have embraced opportunities to build connections within their Pastoral Care groups, develop confidence, engage with the College’s history and values and participate in a range of outdoor and co-curricular activities.
The enthusiasm and spirit displayed by the boys throughout New Beginnings has set a strong foundation for the year ahead and we look forward to seeing this momentum continue as timetabled classes commence.
