Sustainability - Food Waste

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been reintroducing our food waste program. Lily from Monash Council visited us and gave us some food waste caddies for our Prep students to use. This means that the WHOLE school will collect food waste in the classrooms. Staff will even collect it in the staff room! 

For our program to be successful, we’re asking all staff and students to put any leftover food such as fruit and vegetable peels and sandwich crusts, into the classroom caddy. Two students in each classroom will empty the caddy each day, and the senior students will do it for the Prep classes. By collecting food waste and putting it in our green bin, we'll be saving food waste from going to landfills and contributing to a more sustainable future.
