Wellbeing

Student wellbeing remains a strong focus across our school community. This term, classes have been explicitly teaching emotional regulation, safe relationships, and help-seeking skills. Students are practicing identifying emotions, using calming strategies, and communicating their needs with trusted adults and their peers. Visual supports, social stories and structured routines continue to help students feel safe, predictable and supported.

We are also reinforcing body safety, privacy and respectful relationships through developmentally appropriate lessons that build understanding of boundaries and consent.

Resources for families

Families may find the following supports helpful:

  • eSafety Commissioner – Practical advice about online safety, cyberbullying and safe technology use.

  • Raising Children Network – Evidence-based parenting information across all age groups and additional needs.

  • Beyond Blue – Mental health information and support for young people and families.

  • headspace – Support services for young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

If you have any wellbeing concerns, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher or the wellbeing team. We value strong partnerships with families to support every student to feel safe, respected and ready to learn.
