Year 7 Measurement Backyard Assignment

Our Year 7 students recently showcased their creativity and mathematical thinking through the Measurement Backyard Assignment. 

Using their knowledge of perimeter, area, budgeting, and problem-solving, students were challenged to design their own dream backyard layout with real-world constraints.

This hands-on project allowed students to explore how mathematics plays a role in everyday planning and design, while expressing their personal style. 

The level of engagement and enthusiasm across the cohort was fantastic, with many students going above and beyond to refine their ideas.

A big congratulations to all Year 7 students for their hard work and impressive results. 

A special mention goes to the award recipients whose innovative and well-constructed designs stood out. 

Your creations clearly demonstrated how mathematics can be both practical and fun!

We are incredibly proud of the effort and achievement shown throughout this project and look forward to seeing more exciting learning opportunities ahead!
