Stage 3 Camp
Stage 3 students recently embarked on an educational tour of our nations capital. Students were given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage, and democracy.
The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government contributed funding to our school in the amount of $45 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs.
Students showed respect when dealing with members of the public throughout the excursion. Enjoying places such as the Australian Institute of Sport, Parliament House, The Snowy Hydro Education centre and Questacon. Students also had the chance to experience the snow, where they enjoyed playing, making and most of all throwing snowballs at the teachers.
As a school, we are happy that we could provide this opportunity to our students and hope to provide many more like these in the future.
PSSA Girls Basketball
Our final round of PSSA was held at Sadleir Public School, where we played against three other schools. Our junior team finished the season undefeated with a 3–0 record, while our seniors wrapped up with two wins and one loss. Both teams showed fantastic teamwork and improvement over the season. Well done girls!
