2025 FORPS Springtime Fair

Fair Rides

The fair is getting very close now and we are excited to share with you the rides that the fair team have hired. Please see the attached link for more information on the specific rides.

We have ride passes for sale NOW before the fair. Please note, the cut off for this is Thursday 13th at midday. This is to ensure the fair team have enough time to collate the wrist bands and send them home with your children. Ride passes will also be available for purchase on the day but please note, they are more expensive. We highly recommend you pre-purchase at the prices below.

Ride pass prices are as follows:

$35 for one child

$65 for two children

$95 for three children

$30 for any additional child beyond 3 kids in the family

$40 for all ride passes (purchased on the day)

$5 for individual rides (purchased on the day)

Pre-school Children aged 4 and under are FREE.

We are so excited about the rides and hope everyone has a wonderful day

cheers, the Fair team :)

Volunteers Needed

Thank you to all the people who have signed up as a volunteer on the fair day. We still have many spots to fill, so please put yourself in for an hour to help out sometime during the fair.

We are so grateful for our volunteers and cannot run this fair without substantial input from the parents and carers at Rosanna Primary. Some of the stalls have very few volunteers and at this stage if we don’t get enough help, we will have to consider whether we run those particular stalls. The fair has been a year of planning and this is the time where the wider school community can step up and show your support. One to two hours of volunteering per family is what we require to run the day. Thanks so much.

Silent Auction

The silent auction is now live. We have some amazing items for you to bid on. Please check back frequently because we will be adding more items as they come in.  There will be posters with QR codes around the school so look out for those as well as the poster in today’s newsletter and the compass post sent today.

Donation Update

Next week is the last week of item collecting and the coordinators are collecting food!

  1. Chocolate trailer and guess the lolly items. This is any chocolate blocks, lollies, or other small items that can be put into jars to guess such as mables, small toys - use your imagination. They also need plastic or glass jars and canisters in large sizes to put these lollies in. Last time we didn’t get enough chocolate, so please consider adding an extra block to your shopping.

  2. We also need large bottles of tomato sauce, BBQ Sauce, and mustard for the teachers BBQ. Plus serviettes

  3. Alternative milk for the Devonshire tea (soy, almond, oat). We will need fresh milk and cream a couple of days before hand. Any more jars of strawberry jam would be amazing too.

On Friday there will be more flyers to collect for letterbox drops. Thanks to those who hit the pavement over the long weekend.

Last but definitely not least, please keep a look out in your child’s bag on Friday for the famous scone recipe as well as ingredients labels for the cake stall. Cakes can be dropped off on Friday the 14th to the staff room after school or Saturday during the day. Scones need to be made fresh the morning of the fair and brought directly to the Devonshire tea in Chandler Hall.

Not long til the fair now. We are hoping for a very fun day :)

Face Painting Stall Volunteers

Come & Try Practice Sessions

When:

#1 Thursday 30 Oct: 3.30pm - 4.30pm

#2 Friday 7 Nov: 3.30pm - 4.30pm

Where

In the Prep area under the shade sails at the picnic tables

At the face painting stall, you’ll be sprinkling smiles and a splash of colour across the fair. No need to be a master artist—if you can hold a brush, you’re set. There will be a variety of fixed designs for customers to choose from which are simple, cheerful, and easy to paint, so anyone can help out. All adults, teens, and previous RPS students are encouraged to volunteer. We are holding two come and try practice sessions for volunteers to learn the basic skills with the face paint supplies, and have a go with the fixed designs to build confidence before the fair. Come and have some fun, learn some new skills (could be handy for your next kids party 😉) and contribute to the fair.

If you are ready to sign up, please visit the RPS Fair Volunteer link and click on Face Painting under the Entertainment section.
