CURRICULUM DAY

Please be reminded that there will be a Curriculum Day on Friday, 21st November (No students at school).
COMING UP - HEADSTART
Year 9 – 11 2025
All students from Year 9 to Year 11, 2025 will begin their 2026 classes during this year’s Headstart. Detailed information will be emailed to students and parents over the next few weeks, however please note the following:
There will be no classes on Monday 24th November.
Tuesday 25th November to Tuesday 9th December, students will be in their 2026 classes
Final day for Secondary is regular finish time
2026 STUDENT PLACES AVAILABLE
We still have a few spots available across some year levels for the upcoming school year. If you know families in the community who are considering schooling options, please encourage them to get in touch or submit an enrolment application soon. We’d love to welcome more students into our school community!

2026 BOOKLISTS (7-12)
Textbooks, resource lists, stationery lists, and digital device ordering details are now available for the 2026 school year.
Textbooks and novels can now be ordered online at www.campion.com.au using BH36 as your code.
Items for Year 11 & 12 VCE English will need to be ordered by Thursday 13th November; this will be delivered to BHCS the following week and given to students on the first day of Headstart (Tuesday 25th November).
Items for all other Year Levels and subjects must be ordered by Friday 19th December to guarantee delivery prior to commencement of 2026 classes.
SECONDHAND TEXTBOOK SALE
As a result of changing to mandatory physical textbooks across Years 7-10, we will be holding a secondhand sale on-site on Saturday, 6th December. Textbooks will be available for all Secondary Year Levels.
This will run in the BHCS MPH (Gym Foyer) from 8 am to 12 pm. Transactions are strictly cash only. See attachment below with instructions on how to sell your used items.

2026 SHIBUYA HOST FAMILIES NEEDED
We are still looking for additional Host families for Japanese Students visiting from Shibuya Junior High in March 2026.
Detailed information is available on Operoo or by emailing klagreca@bhcs.vic.edu.au
Please note, host families receive a $600 payment upon completion of the visit.
YEAR 5 PUBERTY INFORMATION
On Thursday 30 October, we hosted a Parent Info evening on Puberty. The night was run by Anita from Choicez Media Australia's #1 provider of values and faith-based puberty, sex and relationships education. We will be sending a parent pack provided by Choicez for you to review. Material from Choicez will also be shared with our students too.
In addition, we will be holding a couple of sessions on Monday 1st December focusing on the topic of Puberty as part of our Health and Personal Development curriculum. Using Choicez Media to guide our lessons with age-appropriate information and opportunities to ask questions in a safe and supportive environment.
Further details about our 4 sessions will be shared closer to the time.
