This week in Auslan, our Grade 4 and 5 students continued exploring food vocabulary, adding a range of Auslan vegetable signs to their repertoire. They used their new signs to share their likes and dislikes about different fruits and vegetables. Feel free to test their knowledge next time you’re at the supermarket!

Our Grade 6 students delved into the linguistics of Auslan and explored Depicting Signs. They had great fun applying what they learned about SASS (Size and Shape Specifiers), Handling, and Entity classifiers while playing different versions of charades and Heads Up!. It was wonderful to see so many students participating with such enthusiasm!
