Art Show Excellence

On Monday evening, our school hosted its annual Art Show — an event that fills our buckets with school and community pride. Featuring an impressive collection of this year’s student artwork, the show came together thanks to a huge team of volunteers and staff who began setting up on Sunday.

The evening brought our community together to celebrate creativity, connection - and, of course, to enjoy the obligatory sausage sizzle!

Congratulations to our talented students for their outstanding work, to our Visual Arts teacher, Claudia Michelin, for her leadership and vision, and to all the staff and volunteers who made this year’s Art Show such a success.

Yarrunga Bike Jumps - Call for Action

Our community is extremely fortunate to have access to Yarrunga Reserve; however, over the course of the year, our school community members have expressed concern to me about the behaviour of some members of the broader community at Yarrunga Reserve Bike Jumps. Whilst this facility is a wonderful asset for our community,  particularly our students and local youths, unfortunately, behaviours such as loud, derogatory and abusive language make it an unsavoury place to be on occasions.

To address this concern, I encourage group action from our community. Firstly, for immediate safety concerns, call 000 and report the behaviour to the police for immediate response. In order to address the matter with a solutions mindset, I encourage community members to report the matter to the Maroondah Council. Whilst the police are responsible for the immediate safety of the community, it is the local council that oversees the area and has a responsibility to respond to community members' concerns in a proactive way.

This can be done HERE, the Maroondah Council's online feedback form.

2026 Parent Contributions –  Supporting a Great Year Ahead

Croydon Hills Primary School is looking forward to another fantastic year of teaching and learning in 2026!

Each year, the financial contributions made by families play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our programs. These funds directly support the resources, staffing, and opportunities that make our school such an engaging and enriching place for every student.

At Croydon Hills, parent contributions help fund the physical and human resources that enable us to offer programs and facilities well beyond what’s typically

available in other schools. Your support helps us provide:

  • A specialist Science program with hands-on experiments and inquiry-based learning.
  • Our unique Sport Friday program, in addition to regular PE lessons, giving students weekly opportunities to build teamwork, confidence and fitness.
  • Extracurricular programs such as Dance Club, Art Club, Culture Club, Sustainability Teams and Choirs.
  • A fully staffed First Aid facility ensuring the health and safety of all students.
  • Groundskeepers who maintain our beautiful outdoor spaces for play, sport and learning.
  • Access to a digitally rich environment, including student laptops and technology to support modern learning.

Our 2026 Parent Contributions are now open on Compass. Please refer to the attachments below to view the Parent Payments Notice for your child’s year level in 2026, along with a Compass Guide explaining how to contribute. This information is also available on our school website

Payments can be made:

  • Online via Compass Payments Centre at the top of your Newsfeed (step-by-step instructions are in the attached guide). You can also set up a payment plan across three fixed instalments.
  • At the Office by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card.

Your contributions make a real difference - helping us sustain the exceptional programs, facilities and experiences that make Croydon Hills Primary School so

special. Together, we can ensure 2026 is another outstanding year for our students.

Thank you for your continued commitment and support of our school community.
