What’s Cooking?

The year 9s have been planning a birthday party in teams.  Over the last few weeks, their cooking sessions have been broken down into researching, planning and writing up recipes.  Each team of 6 students brainstormed themes, age groups and party food ideas linked to their theme.  Each student decided on a recipe, then submitted a shopping list and was required to write up a recipe that could be completed in the 60 minute session.

The teams put together their party on Wednesday and the After School Care students were the lucky judges, they even got to eat it.

The three themes were; Bluey, Shrek and Animal theme.  The winner voted by the students were the Animal team.  We done to everyone, the effort they put in to get everything done was manic.

Special mention goes out to Daniel for being the only member of his team and to Ivy for her terrific effort with the Hungry Caterpillar cake. Great job guys!
