Mr. McKinnis is taking leave for a little over a week and Mr. O'Meara will be stepping in to fulfill the Acting Assistant Principal role. We are looking forward to Mr. O'Meara shining brightly in this new short-term role! 

Mr. O'Meara's class will be supported by Mr. Chadwick from next Monday and as a regular relief teacher at our school. It will be great to have Mr. Chadwick support Middle O.  

Sibling Enrolments for 2025, Now Open

It's that time of year again!  If you have a sibling that will be commencing Prep next year, please pop in to the office to grab an enrolment form.  

Covid Cases

We have unfortunately seen a rise in COVID-19 cases throughout the last two weeks with a number of students missing school because of it. We are continuing to ensure we are providing clean, well-ventilated spaces for students however it appears that Covid just won't leave us alone! 

As a reminder, if your child is presenting with any symptoms, it is strongly recommended that you test them and keep them home if they are unwell. 

School Photo Day - Friday May 10

Please read the information below regarding ordering photos.  *Family/sibling photos must be ordered via the link below by no later than 4.30pm on Thurs 9th May (the day prior to photo day). Please ensure your children are dressed in full school uniform on photo day (no sports tops please).

Scholastic Book Fair @ Newtown PS May 6-10, Multi-Purpose Room

Our Scholastic Book Fair is nearly here! It will open at 8.45am on Monday 6th May, so come along to find the best new books and help to earn free books for our library!

Book Fair sessions - 8.45- 9.10am and 3.20- 3.40pm each day.

Cash and card sales will be available onsite and online sales can be picked up by presenting the order slip from the flyers. 

2024 Student Multiple Permissions Form

ACTION REQUIRED ASAP!

Each year we ask all NPS families to complete a multiple permission form via Compass. This informs us if parents and caregivers give consent for specific annual permissions such as head lice checks, local excursions, photography, and the use of students' images in school social media.  Please access and complete these on your Compass app as soon as possible.  If you are having trouble seeing this on your phone, please try 'open in browser' as this may help. If you require support to complete these actions, please contact the office. 

Signing Students In at the Office

We know it is tricky sometimes, but can we please ask that students are signed in by a parent/guardian if coming in late to the school, at the office before going to class.
