Years F & 1

During our art lesson last week the F/1/2 students made a field of poppies artwork. We spoke about what the poppies mean and why they are important to ANZAC Day. The students took care in their work and they came up great. They have taken great interest and have asked lots of questions throughout the week in relation to ANZAC Day. 

During writing this week we focused on selected nouns and wrote a verb to match each one. After that we spoke about prepositions and what these are. Students then had to write a sentence being with a preposition and writing their noun and verb. They shared sentences with the class and it’s been great to see the sentences become fluent and seeing their confidence grow with reading and writing a range of different words.
