School Council Annual Report

We presented our Annual Report and had the first meeting of our new School Council at our last gathering. Once again, I was very pleased to be able to present such a strong Annual Report which reflects the hard work we are putting into achieving positive outcomes for our students. Our data sets are strong when compared with similar schools and state averages. Thank you to all of our school councilors for being prepared to play such an important role in the governance of our school. In particular, we thank Damian Ferarri for the work he has done as President for the last few years. He has been incredibly supportive of our school and community and we appreciate his role in guiding our council in discussion and decision making processes. Due to his broad range of obligations, he has stepped aside from this role and we welcome Tanya Kehoe as our new School Council President and Donna Fraser for her support as Vice President. We really appreciate their commitment to our school.

Year 12 Common Room

We are very excited to have a new space for our Year 12 students. We are growing in numbers at Beaufort Secondary College, which is terrific, but this also means that we need to have locations within our school that cater for our needs. It has taken some time to be able to create and furnish this area for our senior students but we are very pleased with the outcome. It is a large, modern, common room which enables them to study and connect in comfort. Our Year 12s seem very happy and grateful to have this area to support their learning environment in their final year… and we are delighted to be able to provide it for them.

Parent/Teacher Interviews

We have Parent/Teacher Interviews on Wednesday 15th of May. We strongly encourage parents to take the opportunity to discuss the progress of their child with teachers. We already have a good number of parents booked in and we look forward to seeing as many people as possible.
