Corporal Punishment - Discipline and Wellbeing

Around the world, 65 countries have made corporal punishment illegal in schools. At Good News Lutheran College, one of the College values is Grace. The College models Grace with students by exercising Restorative Practice. This forms the cornerstone of behaviour management and bullying prevention at GNLC.

Research has shown that corporal punishment can affect children's wellbeing, learning, relationships and development. Every family is different and has different perspectives on discipline. For some helpful resources on the topic, click here for more information.

May we model the same grace that God extends to us, to our children.
