New Composting Bin in the Green Nest

Mr I and his wonderful life skills team have been busy creating two new composting bays in the Green Nest, funded from a Junior Landcare/Woolies grant. The Green Magpies were given the task of educating the school about what can and cannot be disposed of, in the composting bins. Look at the new educators of EPS!

Sustainability 'Teachers of the Year'- Primary

We did it! Epsom Primary School won the Sustainability Victoria, "Teacher of the Year" at the Resource Smart Schools Awards. Mrs Davey, Ms Salm, Miss Chamings and 9 lucky Green Magpies attended the awards at the MCG in Melbourne. We are so incredibly proud that we had the opportunity to represent Epsom PS on the grand stage. We have a successful recipe at EPS where the three of us share the workload and this is recognised in our roles and responsibilities above and beyond our everyday teaching. Most other schools have only one staff member performing this role. After the awards, we went on a sustainability tour behind the scenes to see how waste management at the 'G' in handled. Our students were a delight, with members of the community commenting on their behaviour!
