Grade 1

LEATHERWOOD

On Tuesday 9 April, Grade 1 ventured out on our first excursion for the year to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary as part of our Science learning of Living things.  We have been learning about native Australian animals and the 5 important things that they all need to survive.

At Bonorong, Lou took us on a tour of the park and introduced us to Maisie the wombat as well as lots of other animals.  We learned lots of facts about our amazing native animals and we asked Lou lots of interesting questions just like real scientists do.

After Bonorong we headed to Symmons Park in Lindisfarne to enjoy the amazing play equipment that had us laughing, giggling and having fun with our friends.

It was an absolutely fantastic day and we were given lots of positive comments from people about our incredible questioning skills, our amazing manners and our friendliness.
