Principal's Message

From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 2, Week 3

Good afternoon Parents/Carers,

Term 2 is well underway with another busy week upon us.

Sport and Fitness

Our students are participating in fitness each day and are having a great time keeping fit and healthy.  The beep test is proving to be a very popular activity.  Our zone cross country runners are using this time to get in some valuable training before their event this Thursday in Willow Tree.  Please note that our sport day has changed to Tuesday, and we ask that students come to school in sports uniform on this day.

Mother's Day Breakfast

It was great to see so many Mothers, Grandmothers and special people in our children's lives attend our Mother's Day Breakfast.  We had an amazing morning enjoying Bacon & Egg Rolls and a cuppa with our children.  I hope you all enjoyed being spoilt on Mother's Day with presents from our Mother's Day Stall.  Thank you to all who attended, to our staff for helping to cook and serve at the breakfast and to our P&C for setting up and assisting our children to pick out the perfect present.

GRIP Leadership Training Conference

Our Year 6 students are participating in the GRIP Leadership Traning Conference at the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall.  I look forward to hearing about their experiences tomorrow when they return.

Pillow Case Project

Last Friday the Red Cross visited to present to our 2/3/4O class the Pillow Case Project.  This initiative teaches students about emergency situations and what to take in an emergency.  Our students had a great time decorating a pillow case and discussing what items they would put in them if they had to leave in an emergency.  Thank you to Pam from The Red Cross for your visit.

Cross Country

Good luck to all of our students who were selected to participate in Zone Cross Country this Thursday 16th May.  We look forward to hearing the results on this event.

Kind regards

Kathy Nott
