FOUNDATION

We have had a busy start to Term 2 with our performance of the song ‘Better Together’ at Monday morning's assembly as well as participating in our whole school Cross Country Day. It was fantastic to see our Foundation students dressed up in their house colours and supporting each other on a big 1km run around the school.

In Numeracy, we have been learning about 2D shapes by naming them, recognising how many corners and sides the shapes have and being able to sort them into different categories. We also had our buddies assist us where we went outside on a shape hunt. Our creative students have created some new robot friends in our class using a variety of shapes.

In Literacy, we have been working hard to learn our vowels to help us recognise our syllables and have been introduced to a new reading strategy, Syllable Sam. Our Foundation students have also been trying their best at writing sentences about their weekends. It has been amazing to see how much they have grown with their writing skills.
