Education Week

Now in its 80th year, Education Week celebrates the strengths and achievements of Victoria’s government education sector. This year Victoria will celebrate Education Week from Monday 13th May to Friday 17th May. HEPs will celebrate Education Week on Thursday 16th May from 6:00-7.30PM.  There will be an information session for prospective 2025 families starting at 5.00 PM. All parents and the school community are invited to attend and enjoy the book fair, cake stall, musical performances, scavenger hunt, and many fun activities in the classroom for students and parents to do. This year's theme, 'Spotlight on STEM', highlights the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in our everyday lives, in the classroom and beyond. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

2024 Student Attitudes to School Surveys

Students voice is one of our annual implementation goals and we love to hear from our students. The Attitudes to School Survey for students provides students a voice as a means to improving student engagement, wellbeing, quality instruction, and how overall the school is tracking. The AtoSS is an annual student survey offered by the Department of Education and assists schools in gaining an understanding of students’ perceptions and experiences of school. Questions relate to students' thoughts and feelings about their school, their learning, peer relationships, resilience, bullying, health and wellbeing, physical activity, and life in general. Level 4-6 students will complete this survey sometime in May.

Mother's Day- Monday 13th May

This is a reminder to all the mums and special others to attend our Mother’s Day Assembly this Monday at 9.00 AM. Then come and join your child in their classroom by participating in some classroom activities from 9.30-10.45 AM.

Camp

Thank you to all the staff and parents who attended the Level 4 Camp to Sovereign Hill last week. The students had a fantastic time and the weather was perfect.  Some students even found GOLD!  We should be really proud of our wonderful Level 4 students who displayed our school values of 'Respect', 'Resilience', 'Teamwork' and 'Growth' over the course of the camp.

Junior School Council

The Junior School Council has been busy prepping and preparing everything for the Open Night Bake Stall. Students are excited to plan and run this stall to raise money for the student community choice of outdoor learning and eating tables that will be placed throughout the school yard. Students said they would love to take their learning outside of the classroom as well as having spaces to eat at and even play games with their peers during break times.

We hope to see you all at our JSC bake stall at open night and we encourage families to get involved and donate some baked goods!

Archie and other students have designed some great posters that can be found around the school with all the important details regarding the bake stall.
