Level 2

We have been having so much fun in level 2 these past 2 weeks! Look below to see all the amazing things we have been doing.

Reading/Writing:

In reading and writing we have been making our narrative writing more interesting! We have looked at wow words, onomatopoeia, prefixes, suffixes, conjunctions, character strengths, the 5 senses… and so much more! We have also been finding out about the good and bad choices that characters make in books and who the heroes and villains are. Our understanding of this has helped us create some cool pieces of writing! Look at how amazing our writing is:

Numeracy:

In level 2, we have been looking at addition. We have been exploring a variety of different strategies to use when adding numbers together. Some of these strategies are partitioning, jumping and splitting. We have also been looking at how we can see addition in the real world. It has been so much fun creating our own real world worded problems.

Maroondah Council Incursion:

We had Maroondah Council come in for an incursion and we learnt all about waste and recycling. Level 2 learnt about what food waste is, how to compost, recycling rules and rubbish-free lunches. We have been using our compost bins everyday and making sure that we recycle properly!
