LET'S KEEP THE ELEPHANTS AWAY FROM SCHOOL THIS TERM
Dear Parent and Carers,
It's great to see our students and families taking part in our 'WOW!' program – the Walk or Wheel Once a Week, delivered by City of Darebin. But what's that got to do with elephants?
Did you know that a fluffy baby elephant weighs about 90 kilograms? This is the same weight as the emissions produced from one car in a year. Yes, it's true! (So that's a lot of baby elephants around our school in the morning and afternoon.)
But here's the good news: we can make a change and have fun doing it. By walking or cycling to school at least once a week during 'WOW!', we can reduce our carbon footprint. It's a fun way to explore our neighbourhoods, breathe fresh air, and appreciate the sights and sounds around us.
Let's keep going with the WOW! and set a great example for our community.
