Our entire Year 7 cohort recently participated in our annual Sailing Come & Try Day as part of the New Beginnings Program.
Conducted from our own Marine Education Centre (MEC) next to the Austins Ferry Boat Ramp, the students were blessed by perfect blue skis and a gentle breeze until the late Southerly bluster took everyone by surprise.
So many smiling faces and plenty of enthusiasm on display, as the boys in blue were introduced to just some of the amazing opportunities that our College provides.
A massive thank you to our highly skilled team of volunteers, parents, senior sailing students and staff who ensured the boys were not only safe out on the water, but had an absolute blast trying something new.
College Principal, Mr Jon Franzin even got out on the water to experience New Beginnings, side by side with the boys.
Sailing Development is one of the Term 1 activities and is run every Tuesday afternoon from 3.30 - 5.30pm.
Welcome to College life at Austins Ferry Boys! 💙💚💛
Congratulations to everyone that contributed to the success of the Annual House Athletics Carnival.
It was a big day and rather historic this year, as it was the first time we have had boys from Years 7-12 on the athletics track in over 32 years.
The success of the day was only made possible by all of the College's amazing staff.
Focus for the day was on House Spirit and Participation with some events also doubled as selections for our Athletics Team.
Further details regarding Athletics training and team sections for the SSATIS Carnival will be out shortly.
Well done to Dwyer House!
More photos from today's carnival will be shared via Facebook.
