Balaclava road footpath improvements
Glen Eira City council has commenced footpath improvement works on our street and will continue in February/March. These dates are subject to weather conditions. We will keep the community posted if any of these works involve the footpaths around the school.
Privacy Policy
The privacy and security of personal information is directed by the school Privacy policy and the DET Privacy policy. All data, personal details and related materials are managed securely, stored securely and accessed via standard protocols and operational requirements. Student insurance
- parents or guardians of students, who do not have student accident insurance, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance or transport as well as any other transport costs; and
- parents or guardians can purchase insurance policies from commercial insurers.
In addition, the Department does not hold insurance for personal property brought to schools and it has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property. Please ensure items of value are kept at home or stored securely while they are on site.
Financial Assistance Information for Parents
Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund
From 2020, the Victorian Government began investing an additional $160.9 million for the CSEF over a 4-year period. The CSEF provides payments to assist eligible families to cover the costs of camps, sporting activities and excursions. Payments are made directly to an eligible student’s school. Schools must use a CSEF payment only for the eligible student and not for that student’s siblings or any other student (except where the eligible student leaves the Victorian education system and there are remaining and unspent funds).
Some common examples of school-organised programs for which a CSEF payment may be used include:
- school camps/trips
- swimming and other school-organised sporting programs
- outdoor education programs
- excursions/incursions.
How to apply
New applicants should contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or download from the link below. If you applied for CSEF at your child's school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year unless there has been a change in your family circumstances. You only need to complete an application form if any of the following changes have occurred: • new student enrolments; your child has started or changed schools this year. • changed family circumstances; such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing this year.
Payment amounts
CSEF payment amount
The CSEF is an annual payment to the school to be used towards camps, sports and/or excursion expenses for the benefit of the eligible student.
• Primary school student rate: $150.00 per year.
• Secondary school student rate: $250.00 per year.
The CSEF is paid directly the school and will be allocated by the school towards camps, sports and/or excursion costs for your child.

Year 7 and Prep students in government schools who receive CSEF funds are also able to get support for school uniforms. The Prep package will not be available until the end of Term1 2024. Parents or carers who are struggling to provide their child’s uniform may need to make an appointment with the school principal or assistant principal/welfare coordinator to discuss their individual situation.

Student Enrolment and Emergency Contact Information
We have emailed the Student Enrolment and Emergency Contact Information we currently have on file at Caulfield Junior College. It is essential that you review the document, amend as required and return the signed copy to school by following the instructions on the first page, so we can update our systems. You will receive a form for each child you have enrolled at the school. If you have not received the email, please contact us, we don't have the correct email address for you on file.

Road safety around schools
Glen Eira Council has created a short, animated video to share with our school parents and community. It is 2 and half minute video that explains parking signs, how the school crossing operates and aims to promote safety surrounding your schools. It encourages students to walk or ride to school too, even if only from a few blocks away, to help ease traffic congestion, and add some physical activity to your morning routine.
Traffic officer are often around the school at peak hour, we are urging the whole community to respect traffic regulations.
