Secondary Swimming Carnival - Friday 1 March

Years 7-10 Friday 1 March

Splash Aquatic Centre, Devonport

WHAT TO BRING: Please ensure your child has sufficient food and water, taking into account the extra physical activity and sun.  The on-site canteen will also be available. Sunscreen will be provided, however, we also encourage students to bring their own.  Students are reminded to be sun safe for the entire day.  Shade will be available, but a lot of time will be spent in the water.

WHAT TO WEAR: Full HPE sports uniform or their Team colours.  Students are encouraged to wear their bathers under their uniform and bring a spare change of underwear to change into at the conclusion of the carnival. SCHOOL HATS ARE COMPULSORY whenever students are not in the water.  Please ensure all bathers are modest and as sun safe as possible.

Welcome Back BBQ & Simon Info Session

What an evening! Our Welcome Barbie - Ulverstone campus went fabulously well. It was a blessing chatting it up with families and watching the young ones freely run around with friends. SIMON sessions were held before and after the cookout to ensure that parents and guardians received the training needed to navigate our learning management system. We are happy to say, “We did it again!” and we will continue to serve our community, one student (and their family) at a time.

Pancake Breakfast

Last week our Ulverstone Primary launched their year by hosting a Pancake Breakfast, and it was scrumptious!!! Going back for seconds was definitely on the menu, as our staff flexed their culinary skills and lit up the griddle, while student leaders served their peers. Everyone was delighted at this delicious treat, after all, it is said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Playgroup

Parenthood is the most transformational journey, and we are blessed to be able to provide a supportive environment for families to bring their little ones who are not yet in school.

On Monday, we held our first playgroup of the year at our Ulverstone Campus, and it was wonderful. Who could ask for anything more than an adorable 0–5 year old learning through carefree play. It is truly a miraculous thing.  As we’ve said so many times, and will keep on saying it, we are glad to have everyone back on campus.

Crawn Bus Company changes

As of MONDAY 26 FEBRUARY, there will be a slight change with the Crawns Bus Company buses in the afternoon.

The bus that comes directly from the Ulverstone campus will stop at Burnie Campus, then continue up Old Surrey Road.  This will be known as Bus 21 and the driver is Jim.  The students that travel from Ulverstone campus to Somerset/Wynyard will also need to catch this service and transfer at the Burnie Campus.

Bus 9 will stop at the Burnie campus and then continue onto McDonalds, then up Mount Street.  Driver is Jamie.
