School Council Elections

We have a number of parents who have nominated for School Council membership in 2024.  It is fantastic to see the interest that this has generated and the support that has been offered. Many thanks to all those parents who have offered their services. Congratulations to the following parents who will join our school council for 2024-25:

Jhana Pfeiffer-Hunt

Alison Smith

Lisa Bourke

School Athletics

Last Monday Grades 3-6 attended the school athletics at Goldsworthy Reserve and what a great day it was. The students experienced a variety of sports, and I was so happy to see everyone participating and supporting their team. A special thanks to Lachie Sperling (our PE specialist) who organised everything. Also, many thanks to all our parent volunteers who gave up their time to help assist conduct this event. Great job everyone.

Reminder- Safety

I know that parents are extremely supportive re our school uniform policy, and I thank everyone for their support in this area. It is great to see all the children who are proud to wear our uniform with pride. Just a couple of reminders for children’s safety

The following are NOT permitted for the safety reasons.

  • Long or fake nails and large pieces of jewellery (neck or wrist). If” large” items are worn for religious reasons they need to be worn under clothing so there is no danger of the item becoming a safety issue.
  • Netball skirts/ bike shorts can be worn on special sporting days- they are not for daily wear.

Fence Issue

We are very much aware that parking is difficult around the school and parents sometimes need to walk to one of the available gates. Please DO NOT jump the fence or lift your child over the fence.  It sets a bad example to other families and your child when we are doing our very best to ensure everyone in our community remains safe and uninjured. The school was constructed in 1975 and the fence is very old. At times there may be some unattached wire that has come loose. Once we are aware of this, we always move quickly to repair the issue.  We are awaiting the outcome of a fencing grant that we help us immensely, but until then please no jumping the fence.

Term 1 Last Day

Term 1 is a very short term. Students will be dismissed on Thursday 28th March (Easter Thursday) at 2.30pm. Students return to school for Term 2 on Monday 15th April.

Prep Enrolments 2025

Wow, we are already planning for 2025! We are again receiving a great response and many inquiries for enrolment forms for Preps 2025. To ensure we have enough space for siblings in our school, we ask that parents with a child who will begin school next year to organise an appointment with myself as soon as possible. I have allocated every Tuesday to chat with parents and meet your little one. During this appointment we can help organise any services or support that is needed for your child to ensure everything is in place for the start of the year. This will allow us to plan ahead, as spaces in our school are limited. Please give Meagan a call in the office and arrange a suitable time. Many thanks in advance.

Mobile Phones

A reminder to all parents and students that mobile phones MUST be handed in at the office before school and collected at 3.30pm. They will be locked away in the safe. No child should be using a phone during school hours. If a child needs to make contact with a parent, they can come to the office, and we will organise a call.
