Principal's Reports

It's hard to believe we are heading towards the end of term 1. There are still plenty of events prior to the end of the term including the P&F Disco on Friday the 22nd, Parent Teacher conversations on Monday the 18th and Tuesday the 19th, Harmony Week activities, Children's Voices sessions next Tuesday and Wednesday, photo catch up day on the 20th and NAPLAN for Grade 3 and 5 students.

Friday Activity Groups:

Every second Friday at 2.45 until 3.20pm our students are placed in multi age groups with a mix of students from Prep to Grade 6. Students will participate in a range of fun activities in these groups. During assembly on the alternate Friday our school captains will have a lucky dip cup with a number of activities. One of these will be drawn out so we all know what will be happening next Friday. If you have any suggestions of a possible activity, I'm sure our school captains would love to hear from you. This week we haven't drawn a lucky dip activity as the school captains will be organising Harmony Week activities with Mrs Howard.

Last week the students all had their first session in their mixed groups. The activity chosen was mindful colouring and we now have a lovely display outside my office. The winning group of the colouring was Group 7, Miss Maxine's group. A prize will be organised for this group.

Glee Club:

Don't forget to let the school office know if your child would like to take part in Glee Club. Details for Glee Club were sent out on compass.

School Council:

Our next School Council meeting will be held on March 25th at 6pm. Welcome to new members: Kate Stoll, Amie Parker, Lorraine Watson, Allison Watkins, Jaala Miller, Tara Bail. Continuing school council members are Stacey Sheedy, Michael Nielson, John Droppert, Glenys Howard, Maxine Howard and Jenny Dowsett. We still have a couple of parent vacancies if any parents are interested in doing a 12 month term.
