CURRICULUM FOCUS

We are learning to Visualise while we read.

VOCABULARY

Visualise: To see the ideas you are thinking of inside your head.

Important: Something that is valuable or special.

Explain: Describe or make something clear to someone.

Critique: Describe what you think is good and helpful.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

After your child reads one of their books from their satchel, ask them to visualise the main character from the story. They can then draw a picture of that character, ensuring their picture includes important details to explain what the character looks like.
