Busselton Camp

What a wonderful weekend was had in Busselton with 47 students and lots of Residential staff attending throughout the weekend.  We departed on Friday shortly after 4.00pm, arriving safely and getting setup before preparing dinner.

According to all reports it was a great weekend and staff reported that the students were well behaved, helpful and respectful which is important in making it an enjoyable weekend for everyone involved.  Students returned to site mid-afternoon and everything was packed away after the weekend away.

Thankyou to Sally and Rob for planning such a great weekend.  There is a lot of planning that goes into the weekend.

What a Week!

This week has been interesting and very trying when we lost power at 11.25am on Wednesday morning. We never envisaged us being totally without any power for nearly 27 hours.

This impacted every single facet of our operations. I must thank the staff and students who stepped up and made things happen. The kitchen kept operating, clothes were washed offsite to ensure all students still had the correct uniform for sections, cleaning was still carried out and office work was completed on laptops. What an incredible effort from everyone involved. Massive thanks from us all.

This week we have seen a spike in the number of students having to go home with COVID and other's with cold and flu symptoms.  We ask students to please make sure they keep practicing personal hygiene to help prevent the spread.

Milking

I really need to make mention of a couple of students who assisted with milking on Thursday morning.  The three designated milking students were away sick and knowing that the Dairy required the use of the generator to milk, I asked Ash Stone and Jacob Dilley if they would help out.  Both of them willingly agreed to ensure the milking workload was shared equitably. Thanks guys I really appreciated that.

Closed Weekend

Next weekend is a closed weekend so we ask all students to be off site by 5.00pm on Friday 1st March, then not returned until after 3.00pm on Monday 4th March when staff are onsite to accept duty of care. Thankyou.

Have a wonderful weekend.
