It was great to see the students and staff had a great time last weekend at the Busselton Camp. The friendships and relationships forged over the weekend provide good memories.

Power Outage

The College was without power from approximately 11.30am Wednesday until 2.00pm Thursday due to unplanned Western Power Outages. I wish to thank the students and staff for their patience and understanding during this time. The students are to be commended for the way they responded to the situation.

The College received great support from District Office and the Department of Finance who engaged contractors first thing Thursday morning to attend the site to resolve power issues enabling the septic system to function and provide power to the Kitchen and Dairy.

Old Murphy’s Law was at play.  Just as the generator to the Kitchen/Gym/Dining area was being finalised the power supply from Western Power resumed. Again, a sincere thankyou to all the students and staff for the manner in which they handled the situation.

New Parent Survey

In the coming weeks a survey link will be provided to new parents of the College seeking feedback about the processes, induction and introduction to the College. Further details will be provided so please look out for this.

College Values

The College has three values that are pivotal to the College learning and living environment: Aspiration, Respect, and Safety. It is important that all members of the College community (students, parents/carers and staff) are aware of these and support them as part of the our operations. Each value has indicators of what this looks like from a positive perspective. The graphic below illustrates this.

The College refers to this when reinforcing positive behaviour with students and likewise uses it to assist students when students reflect on behaviour that is not in keeping with the College values.

Have a great weekend!
