Principal's Report

Report from our Principal: Duncan Arendse

Dear Parents, Friends and Father Arsenio,

Dad's Night was a great success last week. Nearly fifty of our Dad's came to listen to Dr Ben Robbins from the Essendon Football club. Judging by the response to his talk and the subsequent conversation it was well worth it. Thank you to Cafe 23 for the wonderful supper, Docs Liquor, Peake Cycles, Our P&F, DeBortoli wines, Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce and Lincoln Wymer for the drinks enjoyed on the night. The generosity of these people meant that we enjoyed a drink after the talk too.

Speaking of things that went well last week, a huge shout out to the P&F for the Colour Run last Friday. We are still waiting on details of how much was raised.  Further details will follow.

Ben was able to meet with the supplier of the Ninja Playground on Tuesday. We are aiming to have designs done by the end of this term (with student input of course). This means that we will have an expected install date in term two.  At this stage our students should be on it by the first day of term three.

In the lead up to review we participate in the Enhancing Catholic School Identity Project (ECSI)  This survey gives us an insight as to how well we are managing our RE teaching and learning and where we might improve. Corinne our RE Leader has sent a letter to families. Please watch out for this and complete the survey.

I'd like to remind all families that morning supervision does not start until 8:35am. If your child is here prior to that please ensure that you supervise them. It is not appropriate to drop them as early as 8:15am and leave them unsupervised.

School tours for prep 2025 have started already. We are scheduled for a few more tours this term. If you know of someone who is thinking of enrolling, please encourage them to do so. Sometimes all it takes is someone asking.

Thank you and have a great week,

Duncan
