Principal's Report
Kaylene Kubeil
It was pleasing this week that we had the final day of our school review. On Thursday, the review panel met, and we all had the opportunity to unpack and discuss all the findings from the previous three days. The reviewer will prepare a final report the school will receive within 30 days. Once we get this, we can lock in all our Goals, Key Improvement Strategies, Actions and Targets. Whilst the panel did talk about these, and some drafts were created, however, over the next few weeks these will be 'tweaked' to ensure that the strategic direction and all associated documentation has both the direction and clarity to have the school in the best position to ensure that Learning and Wellbeing outcomes improve. The report will be shared with Staff and the School Council in the first instance, before being publicly available on our school website.
I sincerely thank our School Council President, who gave up his time and attended all 4 days. Mr Lyle Winter was an integral part of this process and was able to contribute not only through his role in the School Council but also through the eyes of a parent who has had children attend the school for many years.
As today is Education Support Appreciation Day, we want to shine a well-deserved spotlight on our ES staff and some of our most valuable team members. These staff members show up daily with dedication, compassion, and patience, making our classrooms run smoothly and our students feel supported and valued. From offering one-on-one assistance to helping manage classrooms, organising materials, and supporting our teachers in countless ways, our ES staff are like the glue that holds so much together.
In addition to our classroom support, our ES administration team ensures the smooth operation of our office, first aid room, and library.
THANK YOU Education Support staff for:
We value your contribution. And most importantly, we appreciate you.
We continue to focus on reducing the number of days students miss school. We understand that there are situations when this is unavoidable; however, we want to minimise the impact on learning. So far in 2025, things are moving positively, but we must continue to monitor this dataset and strive to improve.
Enjoy the weekend,
Kaylene
