Principals Message

Good afternoon everyone.
Our grade 6 students attended an activity day at Mary MacKillop College on Wednesday. We are fortunate to have access to their fantastic facilities for our sporting program, so most of the students have visited the college grounds a few times in the last couple of years. It was an opportunity to see what college life might be like. Thank you to Mary MacKillop College for running this day. For those choosing to enrol at Mary macKillop, application for enrolment for year 7 2026 close on Friday 30th May. You can access the form via: https://www.mackillopleongatha.catholic.edu.au/enrolment/application-process/application-for-enrolment-online-form/
We had a school closure yesterday for a staff RE PD. We are always looking for ways to best deliver engaging RE curriculum. These days are valuable for all staff. Our next school closure day is Monday 21st July. This day is for reviewing our NCCD evidence data of our students.
The 5/6 participated in Round 3 of winter sport playing against Inverloch/Kongwak at Mary MacKillop College with a fun game of T Ball played here. Another great day for our winter sport program.
On Friday 23rd May, we are having an OPEN MORNING from 9am - 10.50am. Everyone is welcome. If you know of anyone that would like to attend who is thinking of enrolling in 2026 please let them know about this open morning.
A reminder that for those families not on a payment plan or have an arrangement in place, school fees are to be paid in full as soon as possible please. St Laurence's fee structure and budget relies on the prompt payment of school fees. This minimizes administration time as well as costs involved in following up outstanding fees. Please make an appointment to see Liz as soon as possible if your are experiencing didduculties in meeting your school fee commitment. 5662 2192.
Have a restful weekend.
