Term 2 in Secondary
Viv Stapleton, Deputy Principal - Director of Christian Foundations
Welcome back to Term 2 in our 50th Jubilee year. We hope that the term break offered your family the enjoyment of fine weather, the refreshment of a different routine and opportunities for reflection over Easter as we contemplate the ultimate sacrifice of our saviour Jesus.
As I write, I hear the buzz of surrounding parent, student and teacher conversations; the first interview opportunity for the year is underway. It is such a privilege to meet with you and reflect on the learning, experiences and constructive improvements that can assist our young people.
While Term 1 accelerates through a succession of firsts, camping experiences, ‘step ups’ in challenges and ‘step outs’ with the inclusion new student friends, Term 2 presents opportunities to consolidate and stretch further. And this term promises so many!

22-24 May - Production Performances of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’

This term our Jubilee theme moves from 'A Hopeful Heritage' to ‘Growing in Grace’.
At its core, growing in grace means becoming more like Jesus.
Maturing in Christ.
It means learning to love God more deeply and to love others more fully.
It means developing a Christ-like attitude of humility, compassion, and forgiveness.
How magnificent is that?
As staff, we pray that students continue to centre their lives on their growing maturity in Christ. Our deep hope is that through academic and extra-curricular activities and passions, our students will recognise their God-given gifts and applaud those in others.
One of the greatest joys that comes from being part of this community is the support that we can give one another through prayer. I invite you to unite with us that our young people would continue to grow in grace, reflecting Jesus through all that the term brings.
