I feel privileged to assist both teachers and students in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
What is your favourite colour?
My favourite colour is red. It symbolizes energy, passion, and positivity for me. Red has always caught my attention and feels vibrant and uplifting whenever I see it around me.
What is your favourite number and why?

Indian food is my absolute favourite because it brings back cherished memories of my childhood. The rich flavours, spices, and homemade dishes remind me of family gatherings, celebrations, and the warmth of home.
What do you like most about teaching and learning?
What I enjoy most about teaching and learning is the opportunity it provides for continuous growth — both for students and for myself. Every interaction is a chance to inspire, motivate, and learn something new. I find it incredibly rewarding to see students develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Building strong relationships and creating a positive, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued is what makes this journey so meaningful for me.
What is your role in the College?
I’m a Prep teacher here at Truganina College. My role is to help our youngest learners feel comfortable and confident in the school environment. I work to build a classroom where children feel secure, supported, and excited about learning. I focus on developing foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interactions, while ensuring each child has the chance to explore, ask questions, and grow. It’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of their early educational journey.
What is your favourite colour?
It changes every week! Right now, I’m loving the greens, but next week it could be something completely different! Colours have it’s way of fitting different moods, and so one week I might be drawn to the calm of blue, and the next week to the bright energy of yellow.
What is your favourite number and why?
My favourite number is 2. It’s simple, balanced, and always reminds me of the power of working together. Whether it’s in pairs or partnerships, the number 2 represents connection, collaboration, and support; things I believe are essential in both learning and life.
What is your favourite book and why?
One of my favourite books is "Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!" by Mo Willems. It’s hilarious, engaging, and the kids love getting involved by shouting “No!” every time the pigeon tries to convince them to let him drive the bus. It’s a great way to teach children about rules, decision-making, and having a good laugh along the way!
What is your favourite food?
I’d have to say anything homemade made by family. I love food made by my mum because it takes me back to my childhood and all the sweet memories of growing up in Fiji. So the list includes fish, roti, palau, lovo….
What do you like most about teaching and learning?
I love watching the “aha” moments when a child finally understands something they’ve been working on. It’s those little victories that make teaching so rewarding. I also enjoy the relationships I build with my students and their families. It’s wonderful to watch children grow not only in their skills but in their confidence and curiosity. Teaching isn’t just about imparting knowledge; it’s about creating an environment where everyone feels like they can succeed and grow.
