Year 4 Highlights

News from the Classroom

This term our curious and creative Year 4 students have been deep diving into the world of Autobiographies!

Through this exciting English and Writing unit, students have explored what makes autobiographies special, how they are structured to inform, inspire and reflect on personal journeys. Students have learnt the differences between Biographies and Autobiographies.

They have also explored the key features of Autobiographies, including:

- Chronological structure

- Significant life events

- Thoughts and feelings

- Reflective tone

As students planned and drafted their autobiographies, they created a timeline of their life. They used dictionaries to develop rich vocabulary to describe their life experiences. Students were encouraged to find their writer's voice by developing a tone to match their personalities and experiences. We are proud of the thought and effort, our Year 4 students have shown creating their own autobiographies.

Every autobiography is a celebration of their unique journey so far!
