The Ignatian Award

Each week at our Monday morning gathering, a student is awarded The Ignatian award

 by Mr Rodrigues for demonstrating one or all of our school values:   

                                          Community  Excellence and Respect

Class awards are presented to students who have demonstrated great effort and achievement in their learning, collaboration and initiative as well as  resilience, and kindness in their classroom this week.

  • Lunch boxes are not to be taken outside !!
  • HATS - Students are encouraged to wear their hat however not compulsory in Term 2
  • Please remember to have a weekly class meeting!!

On a scale of 1-10, how has our school  been  learning this week? 

Prep AD: 8  writing, counting and Easter story

Prep SC: 8  superhero writing 

1/2 KT: 7 we learned how write amazing sentences with punctuation and adjectives

1/2 DG: 9 writing our narratives on our laptops

1/2 EA: 9 chalk art, Anzac cookies

3/4 TR: 7 Anzac day facts and video

3/4 ZC: 6 writing our recounts, facts about Anzac day

3/4 VA:7 maths, time and our class novel, class meeting

5/6 BOC: 7 class novel 

5/6 FA: 9 writing  information reports

5/6JJ: 8 100 word challenge

 

On a scale of 1-10, how has our school  been  working together this week?

Prep AD: 8 listening to the speaker, waiting our turn

Prep SC: 8 helping each other, picking up rubbish, being good sports

1/2 KT: 9 in the classroom we should not worry to be with our friends

1/2 DG: 5 some people are talking and forgetting to pay attention, getting distracted

1/2 EA: 9 we all need to help each other

3/4 TR: 7 we need to work quietly together in group work

3/4 ZC: 6 welcoming our new student, being quiet and safe on the stairs

3/4 VA:   6 need to listen to each other

5/6 BOC: 7 getting back into the school routine

5/6 FA: 8 contribute during class discussions, share our ideas

5/6JJ: 8 competing in 11’s, taking responsibility for our things

 

Learning and events at Trinity this week:

  • ANZAC day commemoration  at Monday morning gathering
  • Cross Country for Year 3-6 students on Thursday
  • Trinity Learning Club starts on Thursday, 3.15 pick up from the office
  • Election Day sausage sizzle and bake sale at school on Saturday
  • Xavier Maytime Fair on Saturday

A reminder that lunch boxes should not be taken outside. The eating area is outside the Year 3/4 classrooms if you need to finish eating.

Please make sure all your belongings have your name on them.

 

Suggestions from the SRC

 

Safety issues from the SRC

  • Keeping the sand in the sand pit, cleaning our shoes especially if it is wet
  • Screaming and banging the door in the toilets, no playing!
