Principal's News

Dear Familes and Friends of Trinity Primary School,
We have had a great second week to the term and already our children seem to be settled into their learning routines and are working hard in their classrooms and with specialists. No doubt with a new term starting there will once again be challenges throughout the term as children struggle with new skills and knowledge each day. It is, however, this struggle that is an important part of their learning and a very important part of their development. We also know that this stuggle can happen at times of play as children negotiate the complexities of friendships, team games and balancing their needs with needs of others. This is all part of each child's learning journey and an important aspect of their school experience. We will of course always be there to support them when they need us but we must continue to encourage them to develop their own determination, resilience and confidence to problem solve with the skills we have given them.
Term Learning Overviews
Dear Parents please find below a link to your child's Learning Overview for Term 2. These documents should help you to have an idea of what will be covered in each of the learning areas this term. I encourage you to read through the relevant overview/s so that you can engage with your child throughout the term about their learning.
Election Day 2025
As you would be aware, this Saturday is Election Day and a very important part of living in a democracy like Australia. Voting is a personal decision and each of us will make that decision and cast our vote based on our personal preference and thoughts around what will be best for our families and our nation. This year Trinity will once again host the voting and our gates will be open from 8am until final voting at 6pm. Last time we hosted the voting we had many, many people attending and so it is also a great opportunity to showcase our school community which so many people in our local area also speak about so positively. Thankyou to all those parents who are providing delicacies for our bake sale and to those parents who have volunteered to run the sausage sizzle on the day. If you are available after school on Friday we may need some help in setting up Marquees ready for the morning.
Mothers Day
A reminder that on Friday 9th September we will be celebrating our Mothers and Special Person's Day with our annual Breakfast and Gifts Stall. We will have our Coffee Cart onsite serving up delicious coffees as well as the usual treats for breakfast. The morning will begin from 8:15am and coffees will be available until 10:15am. We are looking forward to a great gathering of all these very special people.
Trinity House Cross Country 2025
For the first time in quite a long time our Year 3 to 6 students headed off to Burnley Park to participate in the House Cross Country Run. We certainly couldn't have picked a better day with the perfect weather and so, of course, the event was a great success. A huge thankyou to all those parent who volunteered to help with supervision on the walk down to the park and of course around the track as children were running.
Many thanks to Mrs McLeary for her great organization and to all the staff who enabled this event to take place. Whilst our cross country was first and foremost about participation and every child having the opportunity to run or walk the distance there are some children who really do take their running seriously and push themselves to get the best times they could. Mrs Mc Cleary now has the tough job of selecting a number of these children to represent Trinty in the Distict Cross Country competition competing against children from other schools next week.
You can check out all today's results below
2025 House Cross Country
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the House cross country event this week. It was a great effort by all of the runners and an amazing event. Thank you to all the parent helpers and teachers who helped marshall the course and set up. We couldn’t do this without you all. And a big shout out to Annalise, Barb and Christine who came early to help with the set up.

Election Day
On Saturday 3rd May, Trinity will once again host election voting and the gates will be open from 8am until the final voting time of 6pm. Thank you to all our volunteers who will again run the Sausage Sizzle and our ever popular Bake Sale. Whilst a great fund raising activity these services also help to build the community profile of our school and showcase the amazing strength of our community which is spoken about in such a positive way in the wider Richmond Community.
ANZAC DAY
As ANZAC Day this year was on a Friday we held our ANZAC service on Monday morning at our usual morning gathering. We all stopped as a school community to aknowledge the ANZACS and all those who have suffered or died because of war. A number of senior students with Mr Ru led a reflective service to honour the ANZACS and to allow all of us to stop for a minutes silence which is the custom on this special day.
