The OH&S Committee meets twice per term. The composition includes the elected HSR and Deputy HSR, representatives from each sub-school, a rep from Admin/Therapy, the Principal, Assistant Principals and the OH&S Manager Nominee.

OHS COMMITTEE

OHS Committee Purpose: The OHS Committee is a formal group that facilitates consultation on health and safety matters. The committee is responsible for supporting the resolution of safety issues. The OHS Committee provides a forum for discussing health and safety concerns.

CTM's: Please take 5 minutes during your CTMs or team debriefs to review and refresh your understanding of our emergency procedures. Refer to the information provided on your lanyard and ensure you are familiar with the correct actions in situations such as lockdowns, evacuations, or a missing student. Make sure all staff members in your team are also aware and prepared.

STAFF IMMUNISATIONS - Monday 15th May 2.30pm-4pm in CLH

(Influenza Diphtheria, Tetanus & Whooping Cough Hepatitis B)

 

Please add your name to the list (in the Staffroom on the fridge) if you would like to receive your FREE Flu vaccine when City of Darebin visits JSA. 

Please see Fiona Micelotta to collect a consent form that requires to be filled in before the day, and handed in to the nurse on the day.

 

Sanitiser Bottles:

To promote sustainability and reduce plastic waste, we kindly ask all classrooms to reuse their existing hand sanitiser bottles. Once empty, please bring them to the cleaners room for a refill instead of purchasing new bottles. This practice not only supports our environmental goals but also helps conserve resources and reduce landfill waste .

An OHS Safety Champion is someone who actively promotes and supports workplace health and safety by identifying risks, encouraging safe practices, and fostering a culture of safety.
