Welcome Back to Term 2!
Wow—Week 3 already, and this is the first opportunity to officially welcome you all back! We hope your holiday break was filled with special moments spent with family and friends. It’s been a fast and busy start to Term 2, and we’re already well into a term full of energy, events, and learning.
We returned in Week 1 with a short three-day week, bookended by Easter Monday and ANZAC Day public holidays. Those days certainly flew by! A special mention to our School Leaders who proudly represented Echuca East at the Echuca ANZAC Day March and ceremony. Thank you to Josh and Mr Holmfield for supporting the students on the day—it was a proud moment for our school.
Week 2 Highlights
What a week it was! Both our Junior and Senior Cross Country events took place, and it was fantastic to see so many parents, carers, and family members cheering on our students. A huge thank you to Mr Holmfield (and Kathy!) for their excellent organisation and support.
Wednesday marked the first session of our 2025 "Little Easties" Transition Program. We welcomed 17 future Easties who joined us for their very first experience of school life—there were plenty of smiles all around! We’re looking forward to seeing them again this week.
We also hosted our 2026 Prep Information Night last Wednesday. It was wonderful to welcome so many prospective families, and we were incredibly proud of our School Captains—Henry, Logan, Ava, and Amalie—who helped lead school tours. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. A big thank you to Miss Turner for organising such a successful evening!
2026 Prep Enrolments Now Open
If you have a child starting school next year—or know someone who does—please contact the office to arrange a personalised school tour. We’d love to show you what makes Echuca East such a special place to learn and grow!
Community Spirit in Action
Our Fundraising Committee, led by Miss Turner, held a successful sausage sizzle on Saturday to cater for the election crowd. Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day—we’re so lucky to have such dedicated volunteers and staff. If you’d like to join our amazing fundraising team, just let the office know!
Upcoming: Mother’s Day Celebrations
Our Mother’s Day Stall will be held this Friday morning, so please send some money along with your child if they'd like to purchase a special gift.
We will also be hosting our Mother’s Day Celebration at 2:15pm this Friday, starting with the drawing of our fabulous Mother’s Day Raffle. Please ensure all outstanding tickets are returned to school as soon as possible.
Wishing everyone a happy and successful week ahead!
